Hi, I going to talk about my experience with the English language in the university

In the school the English language that I learned was very bad, because I studied in a Technical School, and the learning was focus in the world of work, but when I entered to the University, I make the English test and I commence in the Beginner level, where I learned very much with the teacher Andy Highman, because he was a British and the most part of the time in the class, we talked about ours life’s, but in English. I learned to listen more that write.

In Pre-intermediate level, I not learned too much, because I felt embarrassed for talk with unknown persons and I not practiced talk too much, I learned listen to understand more the English language, for example listen music in English or watch videos in English. The Intermediate level in the last semester I reprobated for assistance  L , but in summer English course, I think that with the blogs I have learned to write, pronounce and understand better although I must improve.

I want improve my English language because I would like travel for others countries and I would like understand the language. After going out of the university I would like make an English course for to get better my English language, although for now I like very much listen music in English and sometimes I have read scientific papers in English.

Changes to my study programme

 The changes that I will like make in the career of Psychology are principally in 3 different areas:

First, in the subject ‘’Basic Learning Process’’, that is a subject about classic and Operating Conditioning Theories. I will like that not using rats for the experiments that we make for obtain a grade. I think that the use of the rats not is ethic because we have concern for all species in the same way. Also, I don’t like the argument that use the teacher’s about the utilization of the rats in the neuroscience laboratory. They say that rats are a subhuman and have be in disposition for the scientific experiment.

Other change that I consider important in the career, because is an ethic problem is the subject ‘’ Psychiatry’’. I want not that the teacher’s exhibit patients of the psychiatric hospital in the class for teach the pathologies. I think that not is ethic, because they see the patients as a show and since the scientific power.

For finalize, other of the all change that I consider important in Psychology, that in clinical area establish more practice and more information about Public Health System, in the curriculum map, because I think that is very important understand and be insert in the social context of the our country. Also I consider that the Community area should to change in all subjects about this area, because is deficient: There are few options of operative's and the professors.  I feel that this area is forgotten. 

Favorite book

Hi, One of my favorite books (Until now) is ‘’The Unbearable Lightness of Being’’ by Milan Kundera. I read it for the first time about 3 years ago, and I like very much because is a philosophical novel and address about some existential problems of the human related with daily life. This theme is reflecting in the different character of the novel: Tomás, Sabina, Teresa, Franz, Simón y Karenin (this ultimate character is my favorite, was a dog hahah).

This book I liked very much because one of its philosophical themes was the ‘’Levity and weight’’ and when I read this book it made a lot of sense for me, because in this moment I started to question myself about the importance that I taked for different aspect of my life (well, to this day haha). Also, I like this book because is contextualized in 1968 Prague Spring, and I like all books that are contextualized in France hahaha. When I read I can imagine the places of this country.

Other of the themes of the book is the concept ‘’Eternal Recurrence’’ by Nietzsche (The idea that the universe and its events have already occurred and will recur ad infinitum), and I think that this idea is very interesting for think about the life and at the same time is crazy hahah

I recommend this book for think about things that we forget to question ourselves, and also is very entertaining for read.

Summer holidays

Well, my situation this summer holidays is complicated. I want move to other home because with the friend that I live, we need a home more spacious and for this situation I am working and I will continue doing it until we can move.  Besides I have to finish the English course for resolve my academic situation and be able to start the finalization cycle of my studies. The things last year were a chaos!!! Hhahaha but now is OK, just I need relax for start this year with best mood. I just need organize my time for be able to start my holidays, meanwhile I can go to Valparaíso on weekends, because there are friends that living in this place.

Not all is bad hahahah, in end of February or beginning of March, I want travel to somewhere.  I have much invitation of my friends to different places like Talca, Chiloe and Argentina. I really prefer go to Chiloe because I would like visit to my friend that live in this place, also because I ever been there and I loved of the island.

Others of the things that I want to make is sleep for 24 hours and watch a series, drawing, leave in bycicle, read the books that I have pending,  and visit to my Friends and my family.

Postgraduate studies

After I finish my studies of psychology, I’m not sure if I really want to continue my studies, but if I must, probably I would study something linked to social psychology and communitarian psychology, especially if I can link it with feminist studies because that is an area of studies that really interest me. Also other specialty that I want to link with my future studies is the social memory and the politic violence.

In my career, I had very little courses that interested me as much as ‘’Memory and politic violence’’ with the Professor Isabel Piper and “Contemporary Feminism” with Professor Lelya Troncoso, and I think that is necessary to have a gender point of view in any communitarian intervention that you plan to make. That’s why that the theme of my thesis is about ‘’the militant women’s in political groups armed after transition to democracy.’’

I would rather not to continue my studies in Chile, but yes in Spain, so I can start to learn a new culture while I study, and I know that University of Chile, has a lot of foreign exchange programs, and I think I have the grades to achieve a scholarship in University of Barcelona.

I would like to make this postgraduate in part-time for can know others things of the Spain.

My future job

Hi people:

I’m Study Psychology and this is my fifty year. And yes, I've thought study another one major: Illustration, because drawing is one of my favourite activities in the life and I would like complement the Psychology with the Art. In specific the area of Social Psychology and  the Social-Politic Memory,  and politic violence.

I would like a job associated to Politic violence and Social Memory, for example a would like make the professional practice in the ex-Torture Center ‘’Londres 38’’ located in the center of Santigo, in specific ‘’Paris with Londres street’’ or in the Program of social psychology of memory and gender that is located in The Sciencie Social Faculty in the University of Chile.

I imagine this job will be gratifying for me, because I like very much make investigation and search information related with the politic violence.

 I wish too much be there and can turn all my help and aptitude . I’m imagine I would help to the social investigation indoors of the historic archive and doing tours in ‘’Londres 38’’ for the public.

I would like travel because of the job to others cities for know more people interested in this subject and share experience, because I woulde be of a grat motivation for the future

Favorite food

For talk about my favorite food, first I think that is necessary talk about my style of the life associated to the food: The veganism.

The veganism is diets that consist in not eat food of animal origin. That is to say not consume meat and dairy products, not use products tested in animals for example: cosmetics products, personal hygiene products and anything product and food that come from animal exploitation. There are different reasons for have a diet vegan: Ethic, diet, environmental awareness.

So, my favorite food first of all, it has to be vegan or vegan. Hahahah. But the aliment that I like the most is the potato, all food that have potato is for me very delicious, for example one of my favorite menus is the ‘’Stew of chard with roasted potatoes or French fries’’. Also, I like very much the chickpeas, beans and lentils in all their forms, for example ‘’ falafels’’ served with potatoes purée.

Other of the favorite’s food is the pizza and lasagna (vegan), because I can replace the cheese with a vegetal cheese and cook with many vegetables as spinach, tomato, palm heart and black olive.
